Evercool Buffalo CPU Cooler Review

A Closer Look
Taking a look at the CPU cooler itself you will find on the front a large 10cm fan which has a very open mounting and is as wide as the heatsink it is attached to. The heatsink has approximately 70 fins and also has two heatpipes shaped in a U these are very thick copper heat pipes so presumably can transfer quite a lot of heat to the fins.
The base is a solid block where the very bottom 0.5 cm is solid copper and above that is aluminium. The mounting system is the standard bracket used for AMD stock coolers which means you just clip one side on and then pull the other clip up and lever the bracket tight. This bracket is fixed onto the top of the CPU block with a pivot so it can be rotated making it easier to install.
The fan is a nice blood red and the mounting is a black cage which uses two metal clips to hold it in place. This does allow you to remove the fan and mounting very easily for cleaning which is a nice touch. On the back you can just see the heatsink but unfortunately no secondary fan can be added.
