With Zotac teasing a custom hybrid Titan X yesterday, it seems that the ban has been lifted on the custom offerings of cooling solutions for the high-end graphics card.
The cooler will be an all in one unit, requiring little maintenance, you may have to clean dust from the fans and radiator every once in a while. It will feature a similar radiator to the AMD R9 295×2, equipped with a 120mm fan and wired into the graphics card itself rather than a motherboard header.
The actual cooling solution itself looks very similar to that of other reference design EVGA cards, a snug fit to the PCB length and a typical reference blower style fan.
EVGA will offer this graphics card off the self, but also offer the cooling solution separately for those who have already purchased a Titan X.
It’s about time NVIDIA lifted the ban on offering custom cooling designs. Would you be interested in buying this new cooling solution for your Titan X or would this now push you to purchase one? Let us know in the comments.
