EVGA Announced its SuperNOVA 1600 G2 Power Supply

EVGA has announced its latest addition to the PSU lineup, the SuperNOVA 1600 G2, bearing the 120-G2-1600-X1 codename and having an outstanding 1600 W power output.

The SuperNOVA 1600 G2 is said to be fully modular, thus reducing case cluster, and coming fully packed with Japanese Capacitors, ensuring that only the most pristine components are used. This is said to bring the best stability, reliability, overclockability, as well as ensuring an unparalleled control.

In terms of specs, EVGA’s SuperNOVA 1600 G2 is a 80 PLUS Gold certified PSU, having a 90% efficiency ration under typical loads. The PSU is said to also be packed with a superior vertical double layer main transformer, which increases the PSU’s power output. Also, its High Amperage Single-Rail Design ensures for that the maximum power and efficiency is met, while providing protection for over power, under power, over voltage and short-circuit.

As previously mentioned, the SuperNOVA 1600 G2 comes with the highest quality Japanese Nippon Chemi-Con solid state capacitors, which are said to ensure a long-term reliability, while its fully modular design aids in reducing clutter and improving airflow. The PSU also bears a quiet and intelligent auto fan in order to achieve a near-silent operation environment.

EVGA has marked the PSU as being specially designed for systems bearing Intel’s 4th Gen Core Processors, having support for the C6/C7 Idle Mode. In addition to the latter, EVGA offers a 10 year warranty, while having the PSU priced at $349,99 in the US (no confirmation yet on the EU pricing). EVGA is also introducing a new scheme, the “Early Adopter Programme”, where a select 100 customers globally can purchase the EVGA SuperNOVA 1600 G2 Power Supply at a special introductory price of $199.99.
