EVGA Launches the Z690 CLASSIFIED Motherboard

Given that it’s been over three months now since Intel launched its Alder Lake-S processor platform, you would have been forgiven for thinking that pretty much all of the premium/top-spec level Z690 (socket LGA 1700) motherboards had probably already been released. – Following an announcement from EVGA, however, while it might be a little late to the party, the Z690 CLASSIFIED certainly looks to be a potent and pretty creature!

EVGA Z690 CLASSIFIED Motherboard

As part of the product launch, EVGA has said:

“Introducing the EVGA Z690 CLASSIFIED – The latest addition to EVGA’s most-respected line of motherboards. This motherboard fully supports the latest 12th Gen Intel Core Series Processors and takes full advantage of PCIe Gen5 and PCIe Gen4 M.2 NVMe SSDs. The EVGA Z690 CLASSIFIED provides unbeatable power, performance and stability via a 19-phase VRM and 10-layer PCB. Moreover, this board supports up to 128 GB of DDR5 memory, 2x 2.5 Gbps NIC + Wi-Fi 6E / BT 5.2, 7.1 HD audio, and multiple USB options. The EVGA Z690 CLASSIFIED is designed for nothing less than the ultimate gaming experience.

Where Can I Learn More?

Given that this is representing itself as a ‘premium-level’ product (the ‘ultimate gaming experience’ apparently), you’re probably already suspecting that for as amazing as it is, it’ll likely carry a price tag to match. And you’d be right! – EVGA has confirmed that the Z690 CLASSIFIED will hit retailers imminently for something in the region of $629.99. So, no, it’s not cheap. But were you really expecting it to be?…
