EVGA Let Us Hear Their Nu Audio Soundcard and It Was Dope!

EVGA

I’m a big fan of high-end audio, rocking big headphones is common for me, big speakers, Dolby Atmos, DTS:X, Hi-Res albums, etc. I get stuck into all of it at home and at work. However, when it comes to PCs, onboard audio is properly fantastic these days. 10 years ago, it was all about soundcards. EVGA thing that time has come again, although it may still only be the reserve of the real audiophiles among you.

They’ve paired up with the experts at Audio Note to create the Nu Audio card. It’s packed full of high-end features too.

Swappable OP-AMPs, copper shielding, passive heatsinks, low-noise hardware, Asahi Kasei Microdevices AK4493 DAC, and an AKM AK5572 analogue to digital converter.

The list goes on and on, it’s all pretty high-end hardware without going too crazy and costing £1000’s.

Oh, it has RGB too, duh!

It’s a great looking bit of kit though, running off PCI and needing just a single PCIe slot from your system.

It has Line Out, headphones, line in, mic in, as well as S/PDIF out.

It’s available now, priced at around $250. If you love Hi-Res audio, Flac, DSD, and have a set of high-end speakers/headphones, it’s ticking all the right boxes. We have it on our test bench too, so expect a full review soon!
