EVGA hinted at the release of its X99 FTW K motherboard a few weeks back, and now we’re finally able to admire this product in its entire glory. The X99 FTW K was designed to run Intel’s Haswell-E/Broadwell-E CPU family, and it features support for up to 128GB of quad-channel DDR4 memory running at overclocked speeds of 3200MHz+. This feature was made possible thanks to a 4-layer memory T-Routing design, which is just as impressive as it sounds. We should also mention the 8-layer Hybrid Black PCB as well as the high-end CPU socket that incorporates 150% more gold when compared to similar offerings.
Other highlights include an advanced 8-phase Digital VRM (IR3563B+IR3350), as well as a Killer NIC E2400 Ethernet solution that minimizes network latency, a USB 3.1 Type-C connector that provides transfer speeds of up to 10Gb/s, 100% solid state capacitors, 4-Way SLI support and a right angle 24 PIN connector. This new EVGA motherboard features an E-ATX form factor, and it can be purchased for $299. EVGA is definitely one of the most reputable hardware companies in the world right now, and just like its graphics cards, its motherboards are usually of the highest quality. Given the fact that the X99 FTW K is aimed at enthusiasts, it’s probably safe to assume that it won’t disappoint.
