EVGA are all set to release there new CPU cooler which they have ambitiously named the Superclock. It is clear EVGA are aiming this at enthusiasts, but will EVGA need more than just the brand to sell this cooler? First off we know EVGA best for its motherboards and graphics cards and the company already make coolers for their own graphics cards so why not make CPU coolers too?
The Superclock is a tower designed cooler which has support for both AMD’s and Intels latest offerings. It has five copper heatpipes painted black to match the heatsink fins. The heatsink fins are made from aluminium and and are all held together by the heatpipes with direct touch technology on the base. Also included is a 120mm PWM clear fan with red leds which attaches to the side of the cooler. Although this may or may not sell on its own, there is a good opportunity for bundle packages with EVGA’s motherboards, but will retail for approximately £30.
Even though the cooler does look a bit large, when compared to some other coolers on the market, it doesn’t too out of place. We’ll soon see how well EVGA do with the start of this product line.
