Efficiency, PFC and Voltage Regulation
Voltage Regulation
In terms of results, the voltage regulation for the EVGA Supernova 750 G3 is very good. There is very little deviance seen across the whole range of testing. In addition, we also saw highly consistent results within the specific load amounts. This all points to very good componants within this product.
While the -12V was a little more inconsistent, this isn’t a particularly important rail. As such, it’s not uncommon to see results on this rail a little more varied. They are, however, still more than within acceptable remits of performance.
Power Efficiency
With the EVGA Supernova 750 G+ is a gold rated power supply. As such, certain standards are required to be met in terms of efficiency. In this regard, we have never found EVGA products to be wanting and again we find exceptionally good results. While it is a stretch to say that these touch on the platinum level of standards, they are comfortable (and strongly) within the remit of the gold level.
With efficiency remaining above 90% across all levels of testing, this was a very impressive performance. It was additionally impressive to see such a small variance over the load outputs across the range.
Power Factor Correction
We again find impressive results in the PFC testing. Not only was it consistently high, it was also very good even a low load settings. An area where a lot of power supplies struggle. Based on the entire range as well there was less than a 0.7 change from lowest to highest and such consistency is definitely a good factor.
