EVGA Supernova 750 G3 Gold Power Supply Review

A Closer Look

The EVGA Supernova 750 G3 is an excellently presented power supply. While it might have more logos and stickers on than many would like, personally, I think it actually adds to the overall aesthetics. That may be, in no small part, due to the color choices they have made which make it both clear, but understated.

As this is a fully modular power supply, you will find the bank of outputs very well organized and arranged. Everything has its own label clearly telling you what the port is for. They are arranged in rows which can make removal a bit tricky for those of us with sausage fingers. Overall though, it’s an excellent design that also has a strong aesthetic nature to it.

The fan intake on the system is nice and large and located perfectly central to the power supply. The design has some nice features which again boost the overall solid but pleasing aesthetic nature of the design of this power supply.

Accessories

The EVGA Supernova 750 G3 comes with some nice little-added accessories to help you get set up. These include a canvas bag to hold the cables in, some zip ties, a blanking cover plate for the 24-pin socket as well as a product manual. You literally have everything you need to get this fitted right out of the box!

Interior

The power supply interior is very neat and tidy and excellent presented. All parts and components are well spaced out which should allow for good air flow. Given that this PSU does have a passive hybrid cooling mode, this is an important factor that EVGA has clearly put a lot of consideration into.

A closer look at the interior of the power supply shows you just how well things are organized. I would even go for far to say that EVGA has taken consideration to the placement of components to blend it. Overall, everything looks neat and tidy and that can only speak of a really top quality design here.

This power supply promised 100% Japanese capacitors and they were not lying. As can be seen below, the main capacitor is manufactured by Chemi-con who are indeed a Japenese company (just in case the ‘Nippon’ written above it didn’t give that away). Rated to 400v/470uf and with a maximum operating temperature of 105c, this is a fantastic choice.
