Earlier this year, EVGA announced the launch of its Intel Z590 Dark motherboard. It was a design that effectively represented one of its top-of-the-line specifications and was certainly angled towards the overclocking or enthusiast user. With, incidentally, a price tag to match. – While this motherboard variant has yet to make the transition over to the AMD camp, however, following a teaser video posted by EVGA, a launch may seemingly be just on the horizon!
Effectively representing something of a ‘Gold’ standard for overclocking users, EVGA’s Dark motherboard has proven to be exceptionally popular with those consumers on the Intel side of the fence. To date, however, this particularly motherboard variant has never been brought to AMD. Following the release of this video, however, EVGA has dropped a colossally huge hint that such an announcement is literally set to happen at any moment.
Why? Well… there is certainly something of a decent comparison between the ‘Dark’ logo in the video below to the AMD Ryzen branding.
If this is indeed happening, and let’s presume on something like the X570 AM4 motherboard platform, then the introduction of a ‘Dark’ series for AMD overclockers will be exceptionally exciting news. – Put simply, pending formal confirmation, if this is indeed on the way, then expect to see this EVGA motherboard practically dominate all upcoming overclock benchmarking tests over the year, with the more technically minded aspect of the PC community licking their lips to get their hands on this one!
