Exploring 3D Printing and Modding With Cooler Master at CES 2017

3D printing is an ever-growing market, and it’s one that Cooler Master are keen to explore. With many of their peripherals and other hardware having removable panels and components, it’s easy to take their designs and create your own mods. This is all part of their “make it yours” mentality and it’s one the modding scene has been keen to explore. Cooler Master even provide 3D models on their website for many of their latest peripherals so you can easily customise them to your liking.

Look at these additions for example, from some basic headset rear panel mods to some of the more adventurous ones on the left.

This is a little big for my taste, but stick this one the ear cup of your headset and you can bet it’ll be like no one else’s!

Bit of Terminator awesomeness going on here!

Even some BF1 designs!

By downloading the CM templates, you can quickly import your own models on the top or tweak these ones to really make it yours.

Of course, not all modding has to be 3D printed. The work here from Robin Liu uses graphic printing and hand drawn artwork to create unique designs.

If you’re feeling crafty, you could even create something by hand, such as this headset design from Nina Maillet.

If you liked the faded metal design on the one above, CM are thinking of releasing the model below in a limited run, which features a scuffed and scratched, faded metal design, which we think looks pretty badass.
