Platform action-adventure game Abyss Odyssey (not to be confused with Abe’s Odyssey) was developed by ACE Team and published by Atlus. It was released in July 2014 and features a blend of elements inspired by games such as Street Fighter and Super Smash Bros. If want to try out this game on PS4, then you’ll be glad to know that its creators announced the Abyss Odyssey: Extended Dream Edition, which is essentially an improved 1080p version of the game that also includes the four-player local competitive mode and the two-player online PvP mode that were initially available only on the PC.
The edition also comprises brand new bosses and other enemies as well as improved character balances and a special bonus: Golem from Zeno Clash 2 as a playable character. Those who are looking for a real challenge will probably want to try out the new Nightmare difficulty mode. Abyss Odyssey: Extended Dream Edition will “soon” become available for European and North American players, and it will cost $14.99 or about £10. The game itself certainly looks promising and I’m definitely going to give it a try myself, especially since it gives me the chance to play competitively with friends.
