Codemasters, the company in charge of the current F1 gaming series, has announced the new F1 Online The Game.
Set to be a free-to-play browser game based on a management simulator in the Formula 1 racing series, F1 Online – The Game is not due out until the first quarter of 2012.
F1 Online will allow players to race with either a created new fictional team or race as their favorite team from the F1 series, the game is set to represent the F1 World Championship to its fullest, including all the tracks and events.
This will basically be a simulator, such as the like of Football Manager from SEGA only that this one will revolve around the F1 world. The player will be able to manage the entirety of its team and development functionality to make the true feeling of F1 managing present.
Although being browser based we can’t expect it to be of the same proportion as its PC/console counterpart, we can still expect some similarities and differences. Even though the PC/console version will probably be better, that doesn’t mean we should skip out on the F1 online.
