Cryptic Studios’ 2010 MMO, Star Trek Online which goes free to play on the 17th January, is now available for current and past subscribers.
It’s not all that simple though, full details about what you get – and more importantly what you don’t get – as part of the new payment model can be found over at Cryptic’s comprehensive FAQ.
While Star Trek Online was never very successful in its P2P launch, we shall see if maybe the game can be saved by going F2P, like other previously paid MMO’s such as Lord Of The Rings Online have done in the past.
