Final Thoughts

Price

The Falcon is quite expensive at $99.00 directly from Falcon, however, you have to consider that it does pack a lot of features that help justify the cost and this is a product targeted at the professional markets, rather than something for your average consumer.

Overview

I have very mixed feelings about this keyboard, from a consumer perspective I find it pretty useless, at least in the sense that it doesn’t offer anything better than my normal mechanical keyboard does for day-to-day use and it’s all but useless for gaming. I can use it to control my HTPC or on my tablets, but there’s more affordable solutions out there that are designed specifically for those tasks. From a professional perspective, I see a lot of potential here and when it comes to data input and managing several systems, it really is a magical box of tricks that can save you a lot of time, effort and desktop space, as you won’t need multiple peripherals to complete your tasks.

Build quality is really good, it may look a little rubbish with that rubber coating, but it’s pretty tough, it’s hardwearing, it’s water proof and dust proof. I could confidently grab a damp cloth and a tough brush and have this thing clean in no time; perfect if you’re using it in environments that need to be kept clean, such as in the medial professions, or even in outdoors roles, where mud and dust are common place.

With multiple device support, a built-in mouse that actually works, albeit one that takes a little practice, a rechargable battery with a standard micro-USB port and more, you can’t really go wrong with what the Falcon has to offer.

Pros

  • Quickly switch between paired devices
  • Support for all major formats
  • Easy Bluetooth pairing
  • Rechargeable
  • Water and dust proof
  • Built-in optical mouse

Cons

  • A little expensive
  • Not ideal for day-to-day desktop PC usage

“The Falcon Bluetooth Keyboard has a lot of tricks at its disposal and for those that need to keep in control of multiple systems and keep their hands on the keys that matter, it’s a fantastic solution packed with innovative features.”
