Fallout 4 Receives Official Mod Support and an In-Game Creation Kit

The PC modding community has been hard at work creating awesome Fallout 4 mods since the game came out on November 10, 2015, but Fallout 4 hasn’t received official support for modding on consoles until recently. Bethesda has just announced the Fallout 4 in-game Creation Kit, which can be used by gamers to create their own mods for this awesome game. To get things moving along, you need to create an official Bethesda account on the company’s website, after which you will be able to download the Creation Kit. Apparently, the kit is quite similar to the tools used by the developers to create the game, and in order to make sure that you know what you’re doing, the company has also released a special Wiki.

Xbox One users will be able to get their hands on this kit in May while PlayStation 4 users will receive access to it in June. Moreover, PC gamers are now able to download a new beta version of Fallout 4, which includes an in-game mod browser that allows them to install, bookmark and rate their favorite mods. The beta version can be installed via Steam by right clicking on Fallout 4 in your library, selecting Properties and checking the “beta – 1.5 update.”
