Fallout 76 Steel Reign Update Now on PTS

Tired of waiting for The Elder Scrolls Online Blackwood to release? Then you can give yourself a nice distraction on Fallout 76 from today. The new Steel Reign Update for Fallout 76 is now available on the Public Test Server. Of course, that’s not the official release, but it’s a great way to get in there and get a bit of practice in and an advantage. However, just remember that while you can copy your build over to the PTS, you can’t take progress back to the main build of the game; it’s purely a test server.

The latest update sees a host of new content, quests and further expands on the popular Brotherhood of Steel storyline. Arguably the content that people wanted when this game was first released. It seems then, much like The Elder Scrolls Online, Fallout 76 simply needed time to mature into something more appealing, and that’s certainly been the case with the latest updates.

You’ll be able to access Steel Reign questlines with any characters that are level 20+, and who have completed the quest called “The Best Defence” at the end of the Steel Dawn quest. You should then get a quest called “A Knight’s Penance” and you simply need to follow that up to progress to the new content.

However, if you’re jumping into PTS only, you can simply use the premade character named “Quests”. This is an option from Bethesda that’ll let you jump right into Steel Reign content, but only on the PTS, so don’t expect to do this on the live servers.

Other updates you can check on the PTS include the new Legendary Crafting System, as well as Miranda, the new vendor.

Have you tried the new content on the PTS server yet? Let us know what you think!
