Fans Are Recreating Fallout 3 in the Fallout 4 Creation Engine

While Fallout fans are awaiting for the Fallout 4 remake of New Vegas from Team F4NV, it appears that another modding group is working to recreate Fallout 3 on the latest Creation Engine. The unofficial remaster is being undertaken by Road to Liberty according to DSOGaming. Moreover, they now have new screenshots and a short teaser video showing how far along they are in the project.
The remake’s name is “Capital Wasteland”, and it is a recreation of the entire D.C. Metro area. The first official screenshots show much of the familiar green tint that FO3 is known for. However, the modding team is going to be taking advantage of FO4’s weather engine for diverse effects.
Obviously, the project is quite big and there is no word yet on when the Alpha version will even come out. In fact, it might not even see the light of day unless it gets a substantial financial and/or creative backing. However, it is still interesting to see just how much creative people can do with tools readily available.
Aside from Capital Wasteland and FO4 New Vegas, a mod set in Seattle is in the works. Called Project Cascadia, the mod is just as ambitious if not more so than the previous two. It even requires designing elements from the ground up. To check out the latest news from these upcoming projects, visit their sites at: https://capitalwasteland.com/affiliates/
