I’ll concede that I’m more of a casual fan of the Far Cry series with me often preferring to wait for a sale event before checking the games out. It’s not that I have anything against them, they just tend to fall into what I would call a fringe gaming interest than an outright must-buy. – If you’re in the same boat as me, however, and want to check Far Cry 6 out, then there’s some fantastic news for you!
Yes, as part of a free weekend promotion, you can check out Far Cry 6 right now, and better still, it’s available to PC, PS4, and PS5 gamers!
The free weekend promotion is officially open now and runs all the way until August 7th. As such, you clearly have plenty of time to check Far Cry 6 out and decide whether you intend to take the plunge and buy the full version.
Hey, if you’re really committed, who knows? You might actually be able to beat the game before the trial ends resulting in a huge win-win situation!
Available to PC, PS4, and PS5 owners, for PlayStation users specifically I’d recommend checking out the official announcement from Ubisoft in regards to how to claim your trial copy (click the link here!).
For PC users, you will require having the Epic Games Launcher installed on your system. Presuming you do, however, search for Far Cry 6 and click to go to the official product website. Don’t see a ‘free’ link? Don’t worry, just scroll down until you see the free trial (as pictured above). From here, add to cart, claim your copy, and get downloading!
It’s a free game for the weekend, and while yes, it might be via the EGS, you still shouldn’t complain about it! Free is free and I finally get to see what the fuss surrounding Far Cry 6 was all about!
