Far Cry New Dawn Performance Analysis – 12 Cards Tested!

1080p (Full HD), 1440p (2K), and 2160p (4K)
So here we have it, 13 cards pushed through at three resolutions, and the results are both quite interesting, and pretty much what we expected too. Admittedly, the tests are quite Nvidia filled, and a bit light on AMD hardware. However, that has more to do with the wider range of Nvidia cards this last few generations, and we’re still on the waiting list for a Radeon VII. Be confident, we’ll have that added in the day it lands at our HQ.
Fastest Card?
No shocker, the 2080 Ti beats everything when it comes to high resolutions, but does it? Well, at 4K, it’s the only card to break 60 FPS. However, the 1080 Ti was only 1 FPS off of its pace at 1080p, while the RTX 2080 was only 4 FPS behind at 1440p. Seems you don’t have to break your budget for those resolutions.
4K Domination
For 4K gamers, the RTX series plays strong, as does the AMD VEGA 64. Sure, they’re not at 60 FPS, but with minor tweaks, it’ll get you where you want it to be.
1440p and High Refresh Rate
Surprisingly, all cards are more than playable at 1440p, even the cheap GTX 1060 and RX 580 can hold their head high. Those with high-framerate
Budget Gamer
Every card broke 60 FPS by a fair margin at 1080p. I wouldn’t be surprised if a 6xx series or RX 4xx smashed this game at 1080p. Again though, if you’re on a display above 60 FPS, even the flagship cards didn’t seem to pull ahead as much as I suspected they would.
