FatShark, developer of Warhammer: End Times – Vermintide is officially announcing that consoles will be getting the sequel as well. Initially the PC release for Vermintide 2 is on schedule for Q1 2018, and have even announced that there will be no lootboxes in it. However, FatShark wants to expand beyond just the PC so PlayStation 4 and Xbox One users will be able to enjoy it as well. The release date will most likely be a bit later than the PC release, just like the first title.
If that is not good news enough, FatShark has released an Xbox One X update for the first Vermintide title. This adds native 4K UHD support and other Xbox One X-specific enhancements. A comparison video courtesy of FatShark teases some of these changes.
On top of that, Xbox players will also be able to sign up for the Vermintide II beta access. This allows users to play it before it even comes out. Simply head on to http://www.vermintide.com/xbox-beta/ to sign up. The first game is a fun, albeit bloody co-op adventure. And the sequel aims to bring that back and more.
Pre-orders are now live for PC users. Unfortunately for Nintendo Switch users, FatShark has no announcements of a port yet.
