Developed and published by Bohemia Interactive, ARMA 3 is an open-world military tactical shooter game that was released in 2013 for Microsoft Windows. The game has received positive reviews from critics and gamers alike, and it is scheduled to receive a fresh expansion in the first half of 2016. The expansion will be distributed as a DLC and will include a stunning looking archipelago in the South Pacific named Tanoa.
The archipelago will feature eye-catching tropical vegetation, interesting landmarks, a thrilling history and outstanding examples of contemporary engineering. Furthermore, it will boast a surface of over 100 km2, which is larger than GTA V’s map of 81 km2 but probably smaller than Witcher 3’s 136 km2 open world. Aside from this considerable stretch of new land, the expansion will also comprise new weapons, attachments, gear, vehicles and new characters, all of which are bound to breathe new life into the 3-year-old title.
Below you will find a few leaked screenshots that highlight impressive environments from the new expansion. They include an aerial shot of a massive dig site, a close up of a dense forest and a glimpse of a busy harbor.
