FFXV 4K 60FPS

Final Fantasy is one of my all-time favourite gaming franchises. Sure, there have been a few bumps in the road. I’m looking at you FFXIII-2, but overall there are some amazing games over the years. I’ve yet to play Final Fantasy XV, simply because I wanted to wait for the PC version, and it looks like the wait will be worth it.

Features

The PC release of the latest Final Fantasy strongly suggests the developers have finally figured out how to do a proper PC port. Not only will the game be getting a resolution boost up to 4K with 8K support thrown in too. It’ll also support High-Dynamic-Range with HDR10. If you’re a bit of a home cinema enthusiast like myself, you’ll also be able to enjoy Dolby Atmos audio too. One way or another, with the right hardware, display, and speakers, FFXV is going to be a spectacle of everything that we PC gamers call “glorious”.

How to Hit 4K 60FPS

Your guess is as good as anyone’s, as Nvidia hasn’t revealed the system used for this video. Hajime Tabata said that a single GTX 1080 Ti won’t’ be hitting 60fps at 4K Ultra. However, I’m eager to see how well it’ll performance regardless, and I bet it’s no coincidence the game launches in the new year, when Nvidia is rumoured to launch their next-gen of graphics cards.

As a child in my 40's, I spend my day combining my love of music and movies with a life-long passion for gaming, from arcade classics and retro consoles to the latest high-end PC and console games. So it's no wonder I write about tech and test the latest hardware while I enjoy my hobbies!
