Acoustic, Power & Thermal Performance

Acoustic Performance

The Imperial Hive isn’t as loud as I expected. There are 3 x 120mm fans on the front panel, and all that airflow means you can get away with lower RPM. You can hear the AIO cooler when pushing the CPU, but it’s far from a nuisance.

Power Consumption

The Ryzen 1700 is a fast CPU, but it takes a lot of juice. The same applies to the GTX 1080 Ti. Of course, it comes as no surprise that one of our most powerful systems uses the most power; funny how that works.

Thermal Performance

The overclocked Ryzen and GTX 1080 are demanding. However, the AIO cooler and the large GPU cooler do a fantastic job.
