Acoustics & Temperatures
Temperatures for the CPU were pretty much where you would expect them to be. It maxed out at just 81c, which is pretty good, but it seems this laptop has a rather comprehensive cooling setup too. You can feel a good amount of airflow from it when it’s stressed. Despite this, it wasn’t anywhere near as loud as I would have expected. Hitting just 46 dBa at load, it’s honestly quite modest, and certainly quieter than a lot of other laptops we’ve tested; albeit by a small margin.
The Max Q design of the GPU means it peaks at 70c, which is again right on the money for the specifications of that card and its cooler design. Max-Q basically means the card was tuned to not throttle. But still, the performance here was impressive and the system works.
