Final Fantasy XIV is going to get a whole lot bigger, with the upcoming release of the next expansion “Stormblood”. The only downside is that this update isn’t hitting our digital shores until Summer 2017, but there’s still a lot to be excited about.
Not only can you expect a huge amount of new content, but also some visual upgrades to the game in general. The PC requirements will be increased for the release, although we don’t yet know by how much. Either way, better graphics and faster hardware, these are the things that get us out of bed each morning, so it’s all cool.
Stormblood will take us to Ala Mhigo, and you can expect new dungeons, raids, a new residential area, and much more. You can also expect the level cap for all jobs to be increased to 70, a tweaked and updated battle system, improved UI and new primals.
“The main concept is getting Ala Mhigo back into Eorzean control from the Garlean empire,” Yoshida said. Monk will be the main class.
Basically, this isn’t so much a DLC as it is an overhaul and expansion! Expect multiple smaller updates between now and the release of Stormblood to prepare for such a big update.
