Final Fantasy XV Supports CO-OP Play With Xbox and Windows

Final Fantasy XV
Final Fantasy XV is only a month away from its much-anticipated PC launch. Despite us here at eTeknix already being pretty hyped for its release, Square Enix seen intent on dropping us more and more developments in the meantime.
We are all aware of all of the bells and whistles this release is set to bring. One new development, however, is that FFXV will include cross-platform support for co-op play between Windows users and Xbox One.
A more common feature
Cross-platform play is still somewhat unusual although it is becoming more common. This is, however, slightly more common in games which receive a tandem release. An exception to this is Rocket League which does include cross-play, but the point I’m making is that on Windows, FFXV will be brand new. It’s well over a year old now for the console.
A generation ahead of consoles
Final Fantasy XV is quite possibly going to be one of the most advanced games ever released. Its director has already declared the Windows version to be a ‘generation ahead’ of console games.
With the benchmarking tool releasing this week, users are now able to see how their PC’s will handle this graphical glory. In addition to this though, in the report via DSOGaming, the inclusion of cross-platform coop is a surprising new development. One which may allow PC owners to enjoy this with their console peasant friends.
Release Date
Final Fantasy XV is due for release on March 6th. Many of us here at eTeknix already have our copy pre-ordered.
What do you think? Are you looking forward to FFXV? How did your PC handle the benchmark? How much better do you think the PC version will be? – Let us know in the comments!
