Final Fantasy XV PC Release Date Confirmed With Final PC Specs

Final Fantasy XV PC Release

Final Fantasy XV is coming for the PC. Such words are whispered around the eTeknix office similar to how we were whispering about how Ryzen was coming.

Aside from Ni No Kuni 2, we have made very little secret of the fact that we can barely wait for this to land on the PC.

With the PC release promising optimisation and utilization of all the bells and whistles high-spec PC’s can throw including 4k/8k support, HDR10, and even Dolby Atmos.

With the release anticipated for Q1 in 2018, we finally have our release date for Final Fantasy XV on the PC. In addition, we also have the final version of the PC specifications for the game.

So, can your system handle FFXV? – Let find out!

Release date and specification

We won’t keep you in suspense. In a report via DSOGaming Final Fantasy XV will launch for the PC on March 6th. Yes, the PC release is less than 2 months away.

Now, back in November, we did touch on what the initial specifications were and in truth, despite them now being 100% confirmed, there isn’t much difference. We do now have a specification for 4k gaming and boy is that a little eye-watering. Overall, however, I think FFXV is actually surprisingly generous in its requirements, with some reservations.

For example, an AMD 8350 as the recommended processor is surprisingly low. I’m certainly not saying it’s a bad processor, in fact, it’s a really good one. It is, however, around 6 years old now.

The recommended Nvidia 1060 or Radeon 480rx might be a little better than some have in their systems, but then again, both are accepted as the upper-mid cards of choice at the moment.

The specifications do, however, give me confidence that the PC optimisation has done its job well.

What do you think? Impressed with the specifications? Excited about the release date? – Let us know in the comments!
