Performance
The drive isn’t fast, but at the same time, it wasn’t really designed to be either. It’s bulk storage, and it’s fairly affordable and simple, and there’s certainly room for that in the market. The performance is right on the money for what we would expect from a drive of this speed and size. It’s a slim SSHD, and actually, we reviewed the drive inside this thing a few years back here.
As you can see, the chart below is from this drive on our test bench a few years ago running from SATA3. We’re running it through a USB 3 port and with no additional power supply, and it’s pretty much the same, give or take a tiny margin.
