The new version of the Mozilla’s web browser, known as Firefox v21 can now be downloaded from the official website, perfect timing to go with all the news and glory that has been revolving around Google this week and it’s no doubt been timed to steam some of the headlines away from Chrome.
Unfortunately it isn’t working very well and Chrome is the top headline this week as Google push forward with the Google IO event, but that’s not to say Firefox don’t have merits of their own to celebrate this week and Firefox is once again better than ever.
Mozilla is said to have implemented various graphics performance improvements, as well as the usual array of bug fixes and tweaks that we have come to expect as well as some changes to the back end systems that will benefit developers.
This will soon be followed by an updated release of the mobile edition which will appear in your mobile market place shortly.
New Features
- The Social API now supports multiple providers
- Enhanced three-state UI for Do Not Track (DNT)
- Firefox will suggest how to improve your application startup time if needed
- Preliminary implementation of Firefox Health Report
