Firefox 6 ready, replacing Firefox 5 after only 2 months

Mozilla has released its latest version of the Firefox browser, bringing the program up to version 6 from the current version 5. It will officially launch tomorrow, August the 16th, and this new launch comes less than 2 months after Firefox 5 was released on June the 21st. Firefox 4 lasted 3 months, a month longer than Firefox 5 suggesting Mozilla plans to update its browser a lot more frequently which comes amidst a lot of discontent at the reliability of the current version of Firefox which has seen Google’s Chrome browser take a lot of market share.
Firefox 6 is 13.3MB and will offer improved memory usage figures than all previous versions of Firefox, a full list of updates is not available until tomorrow but expect it to be a lot better than 5. Firefox 7 interestingly is now under beta and if Mozilla keeps churning out Firefox updates at this speed expect Firefox 7 to be out before 2011 is over.
