First laptop to give glasses-free 3D goes to Toshiba!

Toshiba is certainly pushing the limits with its Qosimo F750 3D , the first laptop in production to offer glasses-free 3d. As well as this, it is capable of showing the 3D and 2D images simultaneously, with no setting changes.
The display is a 15.6″ screen with a 1,920 x 1,080 pixel resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. The F750 display effectively displays two separate images, one for the left and one for the right eye to achieve the 3D affect. It uses the built-in webcam to track eye movement to adjust the left and right pictures to keep them in line with any head movements. Unfortunately this means that the 3D image is only optimised for a single viewer, but unless you are getting cosy then thats not as much of a concern on a Laptop than on a TV set, for instance.
Augmenting its 3D-capable display, the Qosimo F750 3D comes with 2D to 3D conversion software, which will convert ordinary movie content into effective 3D. More practical is the laptop has a Blu-ray drive and can play 3D movies via its HDMI port (to a 3D tv).
The F750 features a 2GHz Intel Core i7 CPU, 6GB DDR3 RAM, 640 GB HDD and a 2GB NVIDIA GeForce GT 540M graphics card. The laptop will go on sale in August for around £1,300.
