Metal Gear Survive is a bit of a curve ball for the series, and one we are still pretty sceptical about. However, now that Konami has released a fifteen-minute video showing off four-player squad gameplay, we’re a little less worried about the quality of this game.
It’s clear from the video that it’s still very much the Metal Gear Solid style of gameplay, especially for those who are familiar with MGS:V. In the video, you see a four-player squad work together to infiltrate a compound, as well as defend it against a wave of creates. In all honesty, it’s like a more elaborate special of The Walking Dead than Metal Gear Solid, but I’m strangely OK with this being a thing.
It’ll be interesting to see how this pans out, as to my recollection, there hasn’t been a stealth-zombie game released. They often focus on run and gun gameplay, or confined spaces, whereas Metal Gear Survive is large, open world and focused on sneaky tactics.
