Harebrained Studios has provided the first look at its “new setting” for Shadowrun Returns, which teases that the upcoming game will take place in Hong Kong. The developer wrote in an update to the Kickstarter page for Shadowrun Returns “Here’s a piece of look & feel concept art for our new setting. We’ll show how it translates into Shadowrun’s isometric gameplay view when our Kickstarter launches in January!”
We reported earlier this month that Shadowrun Returns was hitting Kickstarter, with the developer offering up a survey to Kickstarter backers to see which location they’d like to see explored in the game. Berlin was voted number one, which was used in Shadowrun: Dragonfall, but Hong Kong came in second and is now looking like the setting for Shadowrun Returns.
