First Mini-ITX AM4 Biostar X370GTN Racing Motherboard Details Emerge

Biostar teased their mini-ITX AM4 Biostar X370GTN Racing Motherboard on their Facebook page three weeks ago, being the first manufacturer to show off a full featured mini-ITX model. Now more photos and details have emerged about the mini-ITX AM4 solution equipped with AMD’s top of the line X370 chipset as well as a full top and back view of the board to see all of the connectors it has available. Many have been waiting for a mini-ITX solution from AMD’s new Ryzen line and while other manufacturers are waiting for lower-powered Ryzen CPUs to surface to release their Mini-ITX solutions, it seems Biostar did not want to sit idly by and want to demonstrate that they are ready to deliver on this new platform.

Biostar has their X370 GT7, X370 GT5 and their X370 GT3 mainboards listed on their official yet as of this writing but there are no details yet on the X370GTN have been posted on their website. WCCFTech however has some information including the use of a Realtek Gigabit Ethernet controller and a Realtek ALC887 HD audio for onboard network and audio solution. Some other features are obvious just by looking at the mini-ITX AM4 Biostar X370GTN including the inclusion of the PCIe x4 M.2 slot located in the back since there are no space on the top side anymore. There are also four SATA ports on the side and above the PCIe x16 slot as well as dual RGB LED headers at the the top edge above the CPU socket. The VRM design appears to be a 5+2 phase design.

At the rear there is a DVI-D port and an HDMI port in case users want to use an upcoming AM4 Raven Ridge APU on the Biostar X370GTN. There are also five USB 3.1 ports Type-A port as well as one USB 3.1 Type-C. The X370 chipset allows for native USB 3.1 Gen2 support so two of these most likely are Gen2 rather than Gen1. There are also five gold-plated analog audio jacks plus one optical audio connector available.

No pricing or release date is available yet, but it will most likely be out soon considering Biostar has been teasing it for a while. Most likely coinciding around the same time with the Ryzen 5 release.
