How Much Does it Cost?
The Fnatic Clutch 2 Gaming Mouse is available now from their official store. It’s available globally for 59,99 EUR or $59,99, which is around £53 here in the UK. That’s a fair price, not a bargain, not overpriced, and about on par with rival offerings from the likes of SteelSeries and a few others. If you want to know more, hit up their official store here.
Overview
The latest gaming mouse from Fnatic certainly doesn’t try too hard to reinvent the classic peripheral. If anything, it’s more a greatest hits album of classic gaming mouse designs. It’s got simple yet comfortable ergonomics, a just work really well at what it was meant to do. A careful bit of design means they kept the premium internal hardware while maintaining the low weight; much like you would expect from a sports version of a modern car.
Performance
Both the sensor and the switches used in this mouse have been featured in many other products on the market. They’ve proven to be award winners time and time again. Good components alone don’t make a great product, but they compliment the Clutch 2 very well. When it comes to tracking at virtually any DPI level, at any physical speed across your mouse mat, the Clutch 2 is very smooth and accurate. The buttons are fast and responsive, and with software customisation, you can dial in your profiles with ease.
Get a Grip
The lightweight design can often make a mouse feel a bit fragile. However, the hard shell of the mouse is pretty tough here, and the plastics are nice and thick. I’m more impressed with the weight given that there are two firm rubber grips on each side. For those who have sweaty hands while gaming, they’re a big advantage. Of course, they’re practical in general, and they look great too, which is a win-win.
Should I Buy One
I really can’t think of a single thing that I don’t like about this mouse. It’s got great hardware, it looks great, and its price is pretty reasonable too. The only thing going against it that taste is subjective. There’s a huge amount of gaming mice on the market for around this price with similar hardware too, and it boils down to personal preference. If you do go with the Clutch 2 though, you won’t regret it.
