How Much Does it Cost?

The Flick 2 is available now from the Fnatic Shop for just 59.99 EUR or $59.99. That’s a pretty competitive price for a competitive mouse. It’s not a bargain, as there are many competitor products that are pretty great for around the same price. However, there’s nothing wrong with paying a fair price for a quality product, and that’s exactly what you get here.

Overview

There’s nothing hugely innovative about the Flick 2, it’s just another incremental evolution of a tried and tested formula. However, the devil is in the details, and the Flick 2 gets a lot of little things right. For your at-home RPG player, maybe you won’t notice the difference. However, if you’re in StarCraft II and playing to win, those little tweaks could make or break your victory.

Performance

The sensor is nothing short of flawless. I’m a big fan of laser mice, but when it comes to gaming, Optical is still king. Tracking at up to 12000 CPI, the Flick 2 will tackle rapid scrolling of huge maps on high-resolution displays with ease. Being able to adjust in 100 CPI increments makes it easy to dial in the perfect setting too. The Pixart sensor used is one of the most popular on the market, and for good reason. With 50G acceleration, 1000 Hz polling, and a 1ms/250ips response, you can change directions at wrist breaking speeds and the mouse will still track perfectly.

Build Quality

It’s quite a good size mouse, not too large, not too small. However, it’s kept a slim figure with weight, clocking in at just 93g, it’s a very nimble gaming mouse. I like a heavy mouse, but when it comes to FPS gaming, that lightweight design makes changing directions and those twitchy headshots a breeze. Despite the lightweight, it feels robust and well made, and the rubber grips, Omron switches and rubber sleeved cables all add up to a premium looking and feeling product.

Should I Buy One?

If you’re a pro gamer, you’ll see that the Flick 2 ticks all the right boxes for a competitive gaming mouse. It’s tournament friendly and doesn’t have a load of features you don’t need. For those who play at home, or just want something nice for the office, it’s still a great day to day mouse too. It’s got great build quality, looks stylish, great ergonomics, and responsive buttons and a fantastic sensor. The mouse doesn’t care if you’re mucking about on reddit or Counter-Strike, but it shouldn’t let you down in either.
