The G1 is plug and play ready, and when powered up, you get to enjoy the lovely RGB lighting on the scroll wheel, which is perfect for assigning colours to your profiles or just adding some visual flair to your desktop.
If you want to tap into all of the features of the Clutch G1, you’ll want to download the software. This allows you to tweak the DPI levels, sensitivity and much more, but most importantly, it allows you to save your settings directly to the mouse for later use.
All of the buttons on the mouse can be fully reprogrammed, allowing you to create a custom layout that suits your general needs, or even just a unique profile for a specific game.
There’s a powerful Macro engine too, allowing you to apply those functions to any button on the mouse.
Finally, you can tweak the RGB lighting. There may only be one zone for lighting, but it still has a pretty healthy range of customisation options.
The powerful optical sensor is a real winner for gaming too, delivering jitter free and smooth results across the whole DPI range. There are no issues with angle snapping and no acceleration either, meaning it’s pixel perfect for those who need something reliable for FPS type gaming, or any gaming for that matter.
