If you thought the madness surrounding Pokémon GO was gone you would be wrong, and very wrong at that! Especially considering a former city mayor has been arrested for a shooting over Pokémon GO.
Pokémon GO Shootout
The former Mayor of the city Osceola Mills in Pennsylvania has just been sentenced to prison for threatening and shooting at people outside a foodbank last year over Pokémon GO.
The Shooting occurred on the night of March 14th 2022 when the drunk mayor called the cops complaining about two suspicious people outside a foodbank. She reportedly said that she was “done” with being harassed and demanded that the police send someone out and that she was going to “f****** kill” the people. Before the line disconnected the police heard 2 gunshots.
At a similar time another call came in from the people the mayor was angry at where they explained that they were just playing Pokémon Go. The Mayor followed them in her car when they left and cornered them in a food bank parking lot.
Once the police arrived the mayor was arrested and charged with aggravated assault, simple assault, terroristic threats, and DUI. Witness reported that at least four to five shots were fired and luckily nobody was hurt and the mayor was sentenced to 1 year in jail and 18 months probation via a plea deal all for POKEMON GO.
