Good News! Forspoken Gets its First PC Patch – Bad News! It Mostly Fixes Nothing

The PC release of Forspoken has, so far at least, been a bit of a mess. Not, incidentally, that we PC gamers are used to much else. – It is, however, impossible to deny that the game has a lot of bugs, issues, glitches, and worse, has some pretty awful optimisation that can make even super-high-end systems struggle to hold a fairly solid 60 FPS.
Following a report via DSOGaming, however, it seems that have some both good and bad news. The good news is that Forspoken has just received its first PC patch. – The bad news, however, is that other than those few of you playing it on the Steam Deck, it doesn’t seem to fix anything!
Yep, put simply, despite this patch, Forspoken still remains a bit of a crappy PC experience!
Forspoken Gets its First PC Patch… That Fixes Hardly Anything!
Aside from a few very minor bug fixes, and Steam Deck optimisations, we’re sorry to say that this first significant update patch for Forspoken pretty much does nothing to address the numerous problems this title has. – If you did, however, want some proof of this (other than attempting to play it) here are the patch notes in full:
- Adjustments have been made to the HDR mode
- Localization and spelling fixes
- Various minor fixes
- Fixed certain technical issues occurring on Steam Deck
- Improved performance and stability on Steam Deck
Yep, alas, for the moment that’s it. – Steam will, however, look to automatically apply this the next time you play it. Presuming you’re not a Steam Deck owner, however, don’t expect your initial experience to be any better following it.
What do you think though? Have you played Forspoken? If so, how has your system managed to handle it so far? – Let us know in the comments!
