Microsoft and their partner developers are making great progress in bringing Xbox franchises to PC, but as is always the case with these things, there are a few bumps in the virtual roads. Turn 10 Studios has revealed today that the PC demo for their upcoming racer, Forza Horizon 3, won’t be released on PC until after the game’s launch. This is a real kick in the exhaust for PC racing fans, especially given the Xbox One demo is already available.
I’ve no doubt that Turn 10 Studios can deliver a solid game though, Forza hasn’t put a wheel wrong yet and remember, you can still play the free and rather excellent Forza: Apex on PC right now.
“We know fans are curious about the state of a Windows 10 PC demo for Forza Horizon 3. A standalone “Forza Horizon 3” PC demo will be released sometime after launch. We invite all players who are eager to play Forza on PC to try “Forza Motorsport 6: Apex”, available now in the Windows 10 Store for free.” said Turn 10’s community manager Brian Ekberg. “We’re dedicated to bringing the quality and innovation our fans expect from Forza to the PC, and we’re confident players will have a fantastic experience with “Forza Horizon 3” at launch.” he added.
We can’t wait to see what they come up with, but the PC community are a cautious bunch and a post-release demo is often an automatic red flag for many gamers. Forza Horizon 3 will be released on September 27th.
