A new update for Forza Motorsport 6: Apex, the free-to-play version of Forza Motorsport 6 for Windows 10, has been released by developer Turn 10. The update brings with it an in-race FPS counter, balances the Drivatar AI difficulty, plus various bug fixes and improvements, though, sadly, there is still no driving wheel support.
The changelog for Forza Motorsport 6: Apex update 1.3.11.0 reads:
- Enable in-race FPS counter through Video Options
- Difficulty balancing for Drivatar AI
- Optimized objectives in some Tour events
- Tuned time bonuses for some Tour events
- Resolved issue where changing certain Video Options did not have any effect
- Resolved some cases of stalls and hitches during race
- Additional bug fixes and improvements
The update is available for download through the Windows Store.
Forza Motorsport 6: Apex is still in open beta and awaiting an official release date, thought to be imminent. Once the full version is released, additional cars and tracks from the Xbox One version of the game are expected to become available.
“We looked at all the content that’s available for in Forza Motorsport 6 and said, ‘how would we put that together in ways that we’ve never done it before,’ Dan Greenawalt, Creative Director at Turn told PC Gamer earlier this year. “So the scoring system, the medal system, those came out of this idea we should start from scratch and try to take these addictive systems, tell these stories and build something new.”
