Forza MotorSport 7 is providing a free demo for players to try out on the PC and Xbox One starting September 19. The game itself is not on the calendar for release until October 3rd. So this demo should let players know what to expect once the full version hits the stores.
The demo lets players choose between driving the Porsche 911 GT2 RS on the Jebel Hafeet pass, or the Mercedes Tankpool on the Mugello circuit. A third option of trying out the Nissan Nismo GT-4 LM on the Nurburgring is also available. As you might have guessed, you cannot just simple pick a car and terrain individualy on the demo. Which is unfortunate, but not a big problem worth crying about.
The system requirements are reasonable. Playing 60fps at 1080p requires a Core i5-4460 or FX-8350 CPU with 8GB of RAM and at least a GTX 670/1050Ti or RX 560 equivalent. If you want to push the game at 4K resolution however, prepare to have at least a core i7-6700K processor or a Ryzen 7 CPU. Pushing 60fps at 4K will also require a GTX 1080 or RX Vega 64 graphics card, plus 16GB of system RAM.
Forza MotorSport 7 also supports ultra-wide 21:9 resolutions on the PC, as well as several driving peripherals. Developer Turn Ten actually has a list of all supported controllers on their website.
You can download the demo or pre-order the game at the Microsoft Xbox store: https://www.xbox.com/en-US/games/forza-7
