Conclusion
I’ve always found that when writing a conclusion, it’s normally the easiest part of any article, especially once you’ve tested the equipment and have a view in your mind as to if you would buy it yourself. For this preview however, we made it clear that we were going to write the article before we saw any performance figures so we could give it an unbiased rating based on what the consumer knows, which is simply the specs and the features.
Feature wise, we can’t say a lot about this board as it gives the user what they need and leaves off what they don’t. If you want something that’s all singing and dancing, then the P67 set of boards will be more aimed at you, and if you want something even beefier than that, then you’ll be looking at the Quantum Force boards that Foxconn are said to be reviving for Sandy Bridge.
The whole concept and idea seems to be a good one, and CES will be the place set for showing you if the idea works when put into action, but for now, it seems that we have a simple board with great connectivity for what is expected to be a very desirable price point. Put all that together with expectant low temperatures and a nice funky colour scheme, and you will have a future-proof system that will see you through to the next big upgrade.
