Fractal Design Pop Air Case Review

Complete System

Cable routing couldn’t have been much easier with lots of room under the PSU shroud, plenty of room behind the motherboard, and large cable routing holes to get everything where it needs to be.

I have one of the widest E-ATX motherboards here, so it did cover some of the cable routing holes, but honestly, I don’t care because it still fits, and it looks stunning in there. Cable management is exceptional regardless, with clean runs throughout. Albeit, I would have liked a vertical pass-through in the PSU should for the GPU cables.

Airflow is excellent throughout, thanks to the mesh front panel and those two lovely 120mm fans in the front. The fans max out at 1200 RPM, so they’re nice and quiet, and with such an option mesh design, they don’t have to work hard to pull in a lot of air.

There’s good clearance for a large CPU air cooler, and the Noctua U12S fit with ease, although I suspect a Noctua D15 would fit just fine too.

While the 1080 Ti fit with ease, I don’t think there are any big GPUs on the market that wouldn’t fit in here just fine. Even the biggest ROG and MSI cards should still leave enough length for a slim radiator in the front of the case.

It’s a gorgeous case, and while the market shifted heavily towards RGB, and admittedly, so has this case, I think having some proper painted colour is finally making a solid comeback. Fractal make a black and white version of this case, but I think we’ll see the coloured options prove much more popular.

The top panel is now completed with its dust filter!

Even with the RGB turned off, this is a lovely-looking build.

But those fans do look gorgeous with the lighting on!
