Are you someone who thought about grabbing the Fractal North due to its sleek minimalist wood looks, but couldn’t pull the trigger because it wasn’t quite as big as you needed? Well today has some good news as Fractal have launched the new North XL offering more room for larger hardware.
Fractal North XL PC Case
The new North XL is here and it sports the same minimalist design with a wooden front panel and optional mesh side panel but in a much larger form factor. The original North came in at 447 x 215 x 469 mm (LxWxH) whilst the new XL comes in at 503 x 240 x 509 mm (LxWxH) which will likely cover your needs for larger hardware.
The North has many features including the option of either a tempered glass or mesh panel design, all with tool-free panel removal. it comes in both white and black colourways with Oak and Walnut wood front panels respectively.
More Hardware Support
Compared to the North, the XL is now capable of supporting up to E-ATX motherboards and it is capable of supporting up to 413mm GPUs meaning you should no longer have any issues for GPU support even when taking into account a front-mounted radiator. As for fans, there is plenty more room including an additional 120mm slot for the mesh variant and an additional 3 fan slots on the TG variant, totalling 9 and 7 respectively. By default, the case comes with three 140mm Aspect PWM fans.
Price and Availability
The Fractal North XL is available for pre-order now at various retailers including scan.co.uk for a price of £164.99.
