With the left side panel removed we can see there is a huge cut-out behind the motherboard and another large cut-out towards the front, these should ease the installation of our components and allow for easy cable routing.
In the base of the chassis you’ll find plenty of ventilation, as well as space to mount 2 x 3.5″ or 2 x 2.5″ hard drives.
There is a 120mm fan pre-installed in the front of the chassis. All pre-installed fans are high-quality Fractal Design fans with black sleeved cables. There’s room for an extra 120mm fan below it, or water cooling radiators of up to 240mm. Just remember that a 240mm radiator will prevent you from installing a fan in the top-front section of the chassis
There is another 120mm fan in the back, as well as the cables for the integrated fan control switch on the back of the chassis; annoyingly Fractal haven’t sleeved the full length of these cables!
In the right chamber you’ll find a huge amount of space for cable routing, the PSU bay and two suspended hard drive brackets. There’s even room for another 2 x 120mm fans or a 240mm radiator in the front; meaning the chassis can have dual 240mm radiators in the front panel.
In the base of the chassis you’ll notice two velcro straps, these are perfect for strapping down excess PSU cables and there is even an extra cable routing hole next to them. The PSU mount has four thick rubber pads to help reduce vibration, as well as a high quality dust filter to provide your power supply with clean airflow.
There are two hard drive trays, each with support for four 3.5″ drives.
Remove the two thumb screws and you can easily slide the tray out along its mounting rails.
There are rubber washers on each bay and there are enough screws included in the box to saturate all 8 drive bays.
The top panel is easily removed, behind which you will find four 120/140mm fan mounts. Keep in mind that how many fans or radiators you can install does vary, especially if you’re using front mounted radiators, or using the suspended hard drive trays in the right compartment.
The top panel doesn’t have a slide out dust filter, but it does have some soft foam that will help keep debris out of your system.
