As much fun as gaming socially is, sometimes you just want to be left alone and slash people open with a chainsaw. Virtually speaking of course. Now that Friday the 13th has added an option to play alone with bots, your virtual serial killer dreams (or nightmares) can finally come true. The new offline bot playing option is also useful for other things such as studying map layout. Whatever the reason, this feature is accessible by selecting the “Offline Play” option in the menu. After which, select “Offline Bots” then the map of your choice and the counselor and voila!
There is also a difficulty adjustment option. This includes Easy, Normal and Hard. The higher the difficulty you choose, the longer counselors will remember you being in the area, the more likely they are to fight you, the quicker they are to react to your presence, the quicker they are to exit hiding spaces when you leave, and the more likely they are to use Medical Sprays smartly.
They’ll fix cars, boats, hide in closets, under beds, in sleeping bags, barricade doors, and more to keep you from making them into another victim. Feel like honing your single prey hunting skills? You’ll be able to select from 1 to 7 counselors in your offline game to ensure that you are playing against exactly how many counselors you want to stalk.
There will be other changes incoming as well. This includes the level cap increase from 101 to 150. This is not just for bragging rights but more unlockable things are also available. These bonuses include updates for counselors and Jason. More information will be available soon. Although as a tease, these bonuses include two new grab kills for Jason.
Friday the 13th also has three events throughout December. The first runs from December 18th through the 23rd, giving players higher chances to roll a Rare and Epic perk. From the 23rd through the 27th, players’ chances of finding BOTH Pamela and Jarvis tapes increase. Players will also be able to earn Double CP starting December 23rd all the way until January 2nd.
