Frostpunk 2 is possibly the most anticipated strategy-building sim of 2024, which is high praise considering the game is coming out in the same year as Manor Lords and not too far apart from Cities Skylines 2. Now less than a month away from release the developers have decided to postpone the release by two months to make the game better.
The team has said that from the surveys given after the game’s beta test, the game was an 8 out of 10 and that they were grateful for the feedback and want to improve on the game before it comes out. Although it’s annoying that we’ll have to wait a bit longer for Frostpunk 2, the reception to this decision was mostly positive, with people happy to hear the developers were listening to their feedback.
“Based on the surveys we received from you after playing, the average rating you gave the Beta was 8 out of 10. We’re super grateful for that! At the same time, the Beta was only a small slice of a work-in-progress, still-growing game. While our backlog is plentiful, the Beta was an opportunity for us to listen to what you enjoyed, and what didn’t quite land yet. This allowed us to prioritize things better, and bring to the front the features and modifications we were already working on (we hope!) you’ll enjoy the most.”
Its not like the games even been moved that far back its only been moved two months back so now it is set to release on Friday, September 20, 2024.
