FSR 3 and XeSS Now Officially Supported In Starfield

Earlier this month a beta update was released for Bethesda’s Starfield which introduced FSR 3 technology into the AMD partnered game, almost half a year since its release. Today FSR 3 has been officially released with the latest game update, but also alongside Intel’s Xe Super Sampling technology as well.
Starfield Official FSR 3 & XeSS Integration
FidelityFX Super Resolution 3 is now available in the main build of Starfield introducing a combination of frame generation and upscaling to the game which will enhance your frame rate on a variety of graphics cards including NVIDIA cards. It is recommended to use FSR 3 with V-Sync on and with a VRR monitor.
Alongside the FSR 3 integration is also Intel’s Xe Super Sampling technology which is Intel’s answer to FSR and DLSS. Like FSR, XeSS can be used with a variety of GPUs but currently doesn’t feature frame generation like DLSS 3 and FSR 3. The quality of the three upscaling technologies is always up for debate with how much they increase performance vs how much graphical fidelity they lose. Personally I think NVIDIA has the winning tech in that battle.
